Objectives of the lecture/competences:

Today, the information technology displays potential in loads of industrial sectors, the instrument and power for re- or new creations of industrial service establishments. Management of information systems deals about management tasks, which gain importance by complexly focusing on information. Thereby the information system influences the company success, the products, the company organisation, and working members in their working environment as well as individuals. Beside the chances, information systems cover considerable risks, which can lead to the point of existence exposure. IT- decisions are said to be chiefs decision, because the need to base operational facts. IT- Controlling as subsystem of the management can be defined as a tool, which helps to find the right way and how to stay on it.

In the lectures, information systems will be embedded into a multilayer creation system and laid out, planned and supervised accordingly to company’s target. The students shall get an overview about methods in IT-Controlling as well being capable to use basic techniques.

2,5 ECTS corresponding to 75 WH existing out of:

• Presence lecture: 32 WH
• Pre work and wrap up of presence lecture: 23 WH
• Exams preparation and exam: 20 WH
